Since I started this company I have been trying to be diligent about daily posts and getting the word out there. I am super happy that I seem to be reaching people. Recently, a brown belt from PA, who is quite media savvy herself, messaged me that she has been telling people about JiuJitsu Cowgirl. I was glad to hear it. She said that she does not wear make up herself but she is letting female athletes who do wear make up know about my product.
I commented on facebook to her that my market audience is also athletes, such as her, who don’t wear make up. I wanted to create a brand that is easy to use and that could be used confidently by those among us who may never touch the stuff with the idea that you will look good, feel good and live your best life with confidence.
Privately, I messaged this brown belt and told her that I would be happy to send her an eyeliner as a sample to see if I could convert her lol. She was appreciative of the gesture but replied, that she would, “not know the first thing about how to apply it.: She then told me that the impetus for her to spread the word about Jiujitsu Cowgirl make up for athletes was that she is sick of the stuff getting on her Gi’s . Boom, there it is.
Truth be told, there are two main benefits to make up that stays in place. The most obvious is that you stay looking good all day. You don’t look like a racoon after you roll with runny mascara or smeared up with blush as the sweat drips down your face. However, this is close contact sport. One does not roll alone. For every time your make up comes off, it comes on someone else…..not cool. I have heard of women having their brand new Gi’s ruined because of someone else’s cheap foundation or mascara that ran and stained.
As you all know, I am all about looking good and rolling hard. I love make up and wear it daily but you also have to be considerate of your training partners. It isn’t just nice to use make up for athletes that will withstand the hard sport that we do, it is essential. Your training partner will thank you!
